put raccoon on plank and put in oven at 350 degree for 3 hour's
Take out of oven, throw coon away and eat the cedar plank.

Sanded it with 220 and used 2 coats
I will sand more on the stock before I apply the oil
They come close in looks,I think the Tung is a little more of a hard type finish.

Tru-oil (on the right) is what I have used in the past ,But the Tung oil (in the middle) is close ,The linseed isn't but a dull oil.
This is only 2 coats.

Here is some test on scrap walnut.Only 2 coats each, the Tung was the most shiny, then the Tru,Linseed is just dull.(should of had better lighting on it) I think the Tung bring out the grain more.

It seems like most get the maple, but I am more partial to walnut and cherry.

I will go with the .54, its a little lighter, you got the bigger size projectile , so if you want to go after larger game.
