No markings anywhere on the bottle...someone said it could be a linament or cough syrup bottle ....I found a Lebanon brewery co. beer bottle last yr. at another hunting spot from the early 1900's...as soon as the snow melts I'll be back there to look for more.

In the 1960s and 70s, me and my brother collected old bottles and jars. We would get the old timers in the area to take us around to long forgotten dumps. Found some cool stuff, one of the best, was a medicine bottle, that said "Drink half bottle, If not better, drink the rest". We had them stored in boxes that you got at the liquor stores, and ended up selling most of them to an antique dealer for pennies on the dollar. We had no idea what some were worth, we just enjoyed digging around the old dumps.

It is hard to tell what the bottle was for, but more than likely was some kind of medicine......

I collect old bottles, and I can't walk past a pile of glass in the woods without spending at least half an hour rooting around in it.....

My farm house was built in the 1860's and like most old farms the occupants simply dumped their trash 0over a bank out next to one of the fields. Daughter and I picked up a few bushel baskets of intact bottles so far. Most however are from the 1950's.

The bottle in the original post looks like an old patent medicine bottle. Most were about 6 inches tall. Then there were also similar bottles about 10 inches tall which held hair cream (remember Wild Root?) linaments and syrups.
