You can call it pratice if you want, but I love to go shoot my guns.Shooting relaxes me.Taking something so powerfull and unleashing it is a great stress reliever.I also love testing my reloads.Reloading lets me shoot more.So yes I guess I do practice.I actually shoot enough that I use lighter caliber firearms so I can stay longer.22 mag,17hmr,22lr,22-250 and 243.My 30-06 can't be shot by me anyhow that many shots.Between me,my son and his bud I would say at least 300 rounds are fired in a practice session. Most are rimfire though by the boys. They both have AR style 22lr's so the lead flies. They have fun though and sometimes I take the 22-250 and print a hole in the bulls eye of their target when they are not looking. It's funny you should try it.
I shoot around 5000-8000 rounds of 22 ammo a year in various rimfire competitions.......you might not think a 22 would help you, but you would be very very surprised.....
Well............back in the 70s, I used to take my 30-30 squirrel hunting. Made a [censored] of rifleman out of me, but of course the PGC has seen fit make that practice illegal now.

This! And if you can shoot somewhere in different positions, offhand, etc. Whatever corresponds to the way you hunt and the type of shots you get. Unfortunately (and understandably) you can't do this at most every public or private range due to liability and safety concerns.
