I killed my first buck with my Renegade. I used a doe tag one time as well, I believe that was either 2003 or 2004. I forgot about that doe I got now when I sit down to think about it.

Might be able to snap a pic of a pic of my buck... let's see what I can do.

Funny you posted this treestand... I was just re-reading your post from last year on your buck. Congrats again!

Here's mine from that cold January afternoon when I was 12. I was able to hunt a buck this year, wasn't expecting to get one of course. I had several chances in rifle season, but we all live and learn from our mistakes. I surely did. I was granted another opportunity for a buck this day, and I got him at 25 yards with the T/C Renegade .54.

I got a doe in 2003 oe 2004, up in Sullivan County. To be honest, I would have completely forgot about that deer if this post was not brought up. But I was able to hunt 2 or 3 years now that I think about it, my first year, and one or two other years for does since I had a few doe tags.

My doe up in Sullivan County was at a buddies camp... that was a cold afternoon as well. She came out into a field and the shot was fuirthur than I like to take, but I had as steady of a rest as one would ever find in the crotch of a tree.

Here's my first buck, my one and only flintlock killed buck from when I was 12. My Dad was with me and was very proud. He cried a little afterwards and so did I as he remembered his first buck and was proud of me with mine.

The second pic has him in the black in the corner after the mount job.

It's funny you posted this, it really is. I forgot all about a wonderful season up in Sullivan County. I only shot so many does, but that one was one that definately slipped my mind. I might even have a picture of that in the scrapbook as well, up at the buddies camp.

I think this post will help many others like me relive their past and look back like I did... thanks so much for the opportunity!!! Good luck to you as well. Merry Christmas. Time for me to go eat some smoked ham and kielbasa

I got my first one on 1/5/2010.

At least I'm gonna try real hard to get one!!! But if I don't, at least I'll have the whole day to myself in the woods, what I like to call the "solitude of nature"!

By the way, Happy New Year to all you rock smashers!

Nice deer guys!!!!!
I am 0/2, missed the same 140-150" buck twice, on diff days, first at 75yards, then at 50 yards. The funny thing was that I called my dad both times to let him know I was filling out my tag and that I would need help dragging in about 10 minutes
