I received a email from T/C that they are going to make a HUGE announcement on Tuesday. They say it is revolutionary new product.
I am not getting my hopes up----Since S&W bought them, T/C has been quite the disappointment! If they want to impress me they should reopen the custom shop.

Me Too BUT I will not hold my breath!! Since S&W took over they cut all flintlocks but two. They dropped the .54's also!! I will let you know Tuesday.

I am personally excited for this. I like that you can switch between left or right handed stocks! Since I am a lefty. I am also excited to see what calibers they will be coming out with. Here is a youtube link youtube
Looks to me closer to the Mauser Model 03. I fully support T/C giving their take on the $3k+ Mauser's unique feature. I've swapped a few Savage barrels, and it's not as simple/repeatable as it looks like the Dimension is supposed to be. If they can bring it to the market at a reasonable price, I think they will create another niche, just like the Contender did.

after watching to many videos about this rifle, I have to say I am not excited about it at all. maybe, with some changes, that will change in the future. first thing that jumps out at me is the cheap, unbedable, tupperware stock and secondly the very lightweight aluminum action. from everything I have learned from benchrest and target shooting, neither leans towards accuracy. as far as catching on and staying, I can't see anyone else, other than t/c, making accessory parts for it and that might be its downfall.
Interesting product. I don't know what the X-tra barrels will cost for this type of gun though. I currently have two Contenders and an Encore. Love all of em.
This Dimension is easier than the Savage. I have built my own Savage's so I have some experience there. This T\C "gear driven" nut tightening\loosing system seems easy and kind of "dummy proof." Headspace gauges would not be needed as the barrel has a rim that when you tighten down the barrel nut, the headspace is already set.
The barrel appears to be free-floating already....so no fooling with that, and it's a bolt repeater. That's a nice feature!!!
Now, some may think it's ugly because of the barrel nut.....but when you shoot my Savage, the "ugly" barrel nut seems to just go away.
I can't find where it says what material the receiver is made of. So, assuming the receiver is made of aluminum, that would still not deter me from buying one. My Kimber Ultra Carry in 45acp is all aluminum and it has been working just fine.
Besides, these are hunting rifles.....which you need MOD (minuet of deer) and not one ragged hole in order to bring home the filled tag.
I'll be interested in hearing how well they maintain zeros during the switch. Unlike the Contender/Encore platform where the scope stays with the barrel I would expect some scope adjustments after a change.
I have been dispointed in their lastest offerings I have one of the early flintlocks. I have a chance to purchase an earlier 45 cal flint lock made by TC. I think I will pick it up tomorrow.
