When I was a kid in the 60's. Pa Game News use to have Tip of The Month...This method was high lighted in one of the 1960's issue by the PGC editors...Good refersher for the not so old hunters or hunters that may need a refresher on skinning methods.
I know one thing, I wouldn't wanna be anywhere inside a 5 foot radius around "Sarge" when he's skinning anything. Someone at some point, is gonna need a lot of stitches!
Until a couple years ago I did as Kinzua and the others but always got too much hair on themeat. I use this start at the tail method and, after a couple tries that weren't so good, I got the hang of it and for me it is much faster and I get less hair on the meat.
Whatever way you do it, the key is to do it while the squirrel is still warm. I like to shoot a couple and skin them while I'm waiting for the next one or two.
