Had bad news a couple weeks ago. The frizzen on Smokey II, my 50 cal Bedford rifle snapped while adjusting/testing trigger pull. Lock was an L&R Bedford flint.

Emailed L&R and they said send it down. I did and a week later I got it in the mail today. They replaced and installed the new frizzen and returned it for free. Lock back on the rifle and sparking good. Will need to brown it to match the rest of the lock, but happy to get the rifle back up and running. Will be using it on the woodwalk shoot this Sunday. Lil Smokey (45 cal Bedford flinter) has been doing a good job filling in during the downtime

Four of my rifles have L&R's. Three because they are Bedfords and L&R is the only ones that make a Bedford style lock. My 54 cal TVM early lanc came with an L&R when I got it in 1999. Been happy with them. Next couple builds will probably have Silers just to try something different and get experience with them

My first L & R arrived today. It is a left hand Queen Anne, and will be used on the jaeger I've started working on. All my other long guns have left hand Siler's. The L & R appears very well made, but a little stiff as expected. It will take a little tweeking, I expect. I'm impressed with the tight fit of the frizzen to flash pan - no daylight!
