I was thinking of spooling my Abu Garcia with 65 lb Power Pro braid.

Is that good enough?

Thanks

pulling on giant jerkbaits and stuff is one of my favorite ways to fish and it really puts a lot of stress on the line. i have used lighter and inferior line in the past and god forbid, you get a knot in the line on a cast and you will have the opportunity to watch your $20 bait fly several hundred yards.

I run 80lb power pro or fireline on casting set ups except for one 200b Calcutta with 40lb for small bucktails and jerkbaits early in the season. I did switch from braid to 40lb mono on all my trolling rods this year seems to be working alittle better for hook up %

we have caught several on 20lb spiderwire on our bass rods. these were in the 33-39 in range. i run 65lb when targeting them. When fighting them (at least at that size) from the boat they really dont fight that hard for as big of fish as they are.
