PA Grand canyon?

Can anyone recommmend a camp site or cabin in the area. Thinking of taking the family to this

Anyone ever attend? Kid friendly? Other things to do?

Re: PA Grand canyon?

Looks like a family friendly venue to me.

I've had friends stay here.

Re: PA Grand canyon?

Leonard Harrison State Park is just a few miles from the festival.

Colton Point State Park is directly across the Canyon from LH SP. Both are very nice.

Our place is in that area, right along Pine Creek. If I can be of any help, let me know.

Nice rail trail in the Canyon, some decent fishing in Pine Creek. Some native brook trout fishing in some of the mountain streams.

The festival is at the Stony Fork Campground, so you can stay right there. A friend of mine has a cabin very near there and knows the owners. We drive by there all the time and stop in sometimes. Nice people, nice place.

Re: PA Grand canyon?

I assumed most people who attended the hickory fest stayed at the campground on site. I am sure there are those who get day passes and attend only a day of the event, but I think most people camp for the weekend. I haven't attend the event myself but some of my family have in the past. Living here they still stayed at the campground.
