coleman stove

I have a coleman propane stove that may have a problem.

When I hook the regulator up there is propane coming out the small hole of the part you screw the canister on..Does it always do this or is there something wrong.I didnt notice it doing it the last time I used it.

I emailed Coleman about it but as of yet no answer..some customer service. So I figured Id try on HuntingPA since I always get an answer to all my questions.

Re: coleman stove

Boon, maybe I'm not reading you correctly. You hook the regulator up to the stove, and propane is coming out the end you would hook the bottle up to? Am I reading you right?

“did you get all that on camera sport?”

Re: coleman stove

Yes...the end is black and it reads "preset".There is a small hole and gas is coming out of it.

I never took notice if it had always done this or not.

Still havent heard anything from Coleman.

Re: coleman stove

Got a reply from Coleman and they said the diaphragm is worn out and the whole regulator needs replaced.

So if anyone else has this problem now you know what it is.A new unit costs about 15.00.
