I have been to Clear Creek numerous times. Never stayed at Cook Forest because I like CC so much. It is way off the main road, quiet, and good fishing in the creek and river. As far as campgrounds go, it seems like it has a lot more going for it than CF.

We own a camp just north of both. I cant comment on the camping but I like CC better for hiking. Beartown Rocks is a favorite of the kids. It seems like there are less people at CC...a little quieter on thr trails.

I have CDO, its like OCD but the letters are in alphabetical order the way they should be.

Re: clear creek & cooks forest state park

we enjoyed our stay at the cabins at Cooke's forest state park. The cabins were on a hillside above the Clarion if I recall. Tent camping was along the same area I believe. The Cathedral area trees are worth hiking through. There's also a kids only trout area that our then 4 year old enjoyed alot. He even caught our dinner one night. enjoy the area is beautiful.
