Cabins at Pymatuming State Park

Just wanted to share this with fellow HPAers maybe looking for a weekend getaway or a place to go this summer

During the HPA ice fishing gathering last weekend at Pymatuming Lake, the boys and I stayed in one of the DCNR camping cabins in the park. Cabin 11 at the Jamestwon Campground to be exact. There are 20+ cabins there, all pretty much the same except a couple sleep 8 instead of 6.

We got a lakefront one, but all of them are close to the lake and some are surrounded by some very nice woods.

We stayed Sat. and Sunday night for $153. Only about 4 other cabins had folks in them.

The park had the cabin all heated up for us and ready to go...really did enjoy our stay and may keep these in mind for future winter getaways. they are open year around.

Big thumbs up from me, remeber to bring you coffee pot though...

A quick pic was bare ground when we got there Saturday, but our Sunday night campfire got interuppted by a pretty heavy snow storm that covered everything pretty quickly.

Note: Cabins like this are at many SP around PA not just Pymy.

Not sure about now but a few years ago were no pets allowed. You can get online and check out their cabins.
