Seismic Testing Arrests

Two more Texas men have been charged with Criminal Mischief-Defiant Trespass in Clara Township, Potter County on Friday, August 20 at 5:45 pm.

Troopers said Hugo A. Acosta, 31, of 7711 Morley Street, Houston, Texas, and Elizar Valleho, 27, of 10226 Las Terrazas, Houston Texas, were discovered on the property of Dennis L. Zinck, at 888 Clara Road, 4/10 of a mile South of Wakeley Hollow Road, Shinglehouse, PA.

The men did not have permission to be on Zinck's land.

They were cited for a summary offense of violating PA Crimes Code Section 3503(b)(1)(ii), CRIMINAL MISCHIEF-DEFIANT TRESPASSER. The investigation is continuing.

Three men, part of a seismic survey team were charged last week for traspassing on the same man's property. One of those men was jailed on a fugitive warrant.

The case was presented to District Judge Annette L. Easton of Coudersport.

Yep, PA land owners don't have a thing to worry about, they are all good companies and under control.

Re: Seismic Testing Arrests

I had a positive experience with one of the Tex-Mex "invaders" up near camp, back around Memorial Day.

Heard a grader coming down the twp. road early one morning, went down to see what was up. Juan Martinez was running a brand new Cat grader, filling in potholes and redoing the roads, at the behest of the gas exploration operation in the area. And our road isn't one of the ones bonded/approved for them to run on. Juan said "the boss" told him to regrade every gravel twp. road in the area.

Nice kid, also a very adept grader operator. Suggested to our twp. supervisors that they find Juan and take lessons, since their grader chores are somewhat lacking, compared to Juan's efforts.

Their responses won't pass the filters here, but I've known these guys for years and am used to 'em. And vice versa.
