Curious? Well site flame

Hi guys , we now have a flame burning from the well pad of the unit we are in, its been burning over 4 weeks now, flame shooting out of a pipe maybe 20 to 30 foot up...im taking this is a good sigh=n they hit gas?? we are in Tioga county,Middlebury Center, anyone know what this means? thanks

Usually means they're "flaring-off" the crappy gas that comes back up sporadically with the regurgitatin' frack fluid? Could take weeks or longer.

Some folks' learnin' curves just look like circles...3A Camp/also hunt 4B

I have been passing crappy gas all day but I didn't drink any frack fluid...just sayin'.

After a company fracs a well, there is a period of time that you need to flow back a well in order to remove as much of the frac water and sand prior to putting into line for production. It does indeed mean they have gas. If it is a large flare then it could be a very good well although that is difficult to estimate from the flare alone. Congratulations, hope they have pipelines available so that they can start to sell the gas so you can receive your royalties.
