With the help of a right-to-know filing with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, I published the first of two blog posts on "Sweet Lease" deals which compares and contrasts the PGE drilling lease agreement with the Game Commission versus private property owners (the rest of us). Guess who gets the sweet lease?

The post also contains a link to a pdf file of the lease.

Sometime next week, I will post a follow-up comparison of Spectra Energy's underground gas "storage" lease between the Game Commission and the rest of us.

Agreed. The PGC knows how the game is played and they have professionals playing that game. Thankfully, it benefits PA's hunters.
