New to hunting in the US

Hi all,

I bought a .177 air rifle and had it shipped to a family member's address in Berks, and am thinking about getting a license to go after squirrels in December, probably state game lands 280 near Blue Marsh.
I grew up in PA but moved abroad for work and so have never been hunting in the US, but have gotten into it while out of the country: some small game, deer, and pheasant, etc.

Any tips for a newbie on ethical and safe hunting in PA?

To start, you will need to have taken a hunter education course that is accepted in the states before you can buy a license. Even if you already have that it would be a good idea to take the class in PA where many of your questions would probably be answered. Safe and legal hunting is safe and legal hunting no matter where you hunt, make sure you know what you may and may not do before you go.

Thanks. Looks like I can do a PA-specific course on-line, which is good.
