Complete Shutdown Here We Come

Who defines what businesses are “essential” and which aren’t?

There's a lot of businesses that won't make it through a 'shutdown'.

“Aw, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. Fourteen percent of all people know that.”

“Just because I don’t care doesn’t mean I don’t understand.”

Bugle Boy, I believe if it provides a service like a restaurant , grocery store or gas station and possibly a bank. any other business I would believe would not be necessary, only a guess though.

I don't know if I would deem a restaurant essential...one thing I do know is the restaurant business is a precarious endeavor in good times. I'm betting a fair number forced to close will have trouble reopening. Even with government help. They may reopen immediately after to collect government assistance and then go under.

hope that is not the case, there will be a lot of people unemployed and hurting financially . hope it doesn`t get to that point or that bad.

Just listened to the entire Pa news conference and evidently restaurants will be permitted to deliver take out. From what I saw at the market this morning, restaurants may end up doing a lot of take out business?

This will definitely cause wide spread panic. Look for long lines at gas stations and other essential businesses !
