Take the land

Well best I can say is it isn't my land but I imagine it sucks to be them...Looks to be a "Careful What You Wish For Moment".

Texas Civil Rights Project lawyer Ricky Garza told NBC....

...."We want to make sure that all of our clients are treated with basic human decency and with respect that's been sorely lacking in the past by this administration,"....

LOL..Really?..Of course coming from a "Civil Rights lawyer"...sounds like the best thing that can happen to their property on the border line..and I'm sure they will be compensated better from the government than if it was "on the market" ..

Take their land and tell them to shut-up about it...It's for the good of the country.

"Typically in eminent domain cases, the government agrees upon a price for the land before seizing it, but the Trump administration has yet to settle on a price.
However, the White House could also try to act under the Declaration of Taking Act in federal court in Texas, NBC reports.
The law would allow the administration to move through the process of acquiring the land more quickly, and the negotiations between the government and the landowners would take place after the land had been transferred to the government."

I suspect alot f people who are on the border will be glad they won't have to worry about rif raf sneaking across their property. We have one of those here, asked him what he thinks,

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

"A pair of officials within the Trump administration told NBC News..."

When was the last time the socialist media produced a witness that had a name?

Look at the route of the PA gas line politically and it's quite evident how he got it done...For them it was for the good of their wallet and they are deserving should there be any environmental impacts.

No, what normally happens is the govt comes to you with an offer and if you reject the offer they immediately begin comdemnation proceedings. Once they've condemned the property they send you a check that's peanuts compared to their original low low offer. That's how it worked out for my family. Of course, that took place in a democrat controlled state and city.

My line of thinking is the landowners of Texas; being it's a red state, should surrender the land free of charge...It's for the good of the country!
Only real land grab in my area in recent years was by the airport. About 1500 acres give or take that the landowner only got the assessment value for land labeled as "agriculture". But after a 12 year battle court the landowners won and the airport had to sell the land to cover the bill. Now FedEx has built their biggest hub in the US there and a few more warehouses will pop up in the near future.
