And there's more: https://www.foxnews.com/sports/arizo...ross-flag-flap

As an aside to all this, a little history lesson for you all. The "Betsy Ross" flag was a sham. It NEVER flew over our nation in any matter. It was heavily promoted by Ross' son or grandson after the war was over. It was never adopted as this nation's official flag. We had no official flag until 1778 when Gen. Washington adopted the 3-2-3-2-3 star configuration and that became our nation's first official flag. The Ross flag did see limited action as it was adopted by John Paul Jones as his naval ensign. So in some way Kapernick is correct, but for the wrong reasons.

Thank God I'm an American, and not a democrat!

So we're getting rid of everything that reminds us of the slave era? Is that right, everything? They've outdone themselves this time, that's absolutely brilliant!

The reality is that they despise the very founding of the nation because it was done by WHITE MEN who owned slaves. Just listen to even some of our member on this very site tell you about how the founding of America was all about givingWEALTHY WHITE MEN power over everyone else. This is why they despise the Constitution for the most part and want most of it trashed.

Everything that this country has accomplished and overcome in its fairly short history means nothing to them because in their eyes, the very founding of America was immoral and corrupt and that this nation has caused more pain and suffering and oppression around the globe than all others combined.

More stupid nonsense. I've been done with Nike since the first round. My old ones are fun target practice though. Maybe we need to start a "Good uses for old Nike sneakers" thread.
They might be a decent boat anchor for small lake fishing if you put a few pair on a rope and filled them with cement. I bet we could come up with a couple hundred uses (other than wearing them) easy. As for Crapernick......useless.

Nike must act the way they are as their target demographic are customers 15-40 with a majority of them being of color or non-white. It's business, cut and dry. Sadly, we are the minority here.

If you really want to get technical, someone should remind Nike and the race baiters that the biggest reminder of the slave era are the off spring of slaves alive today.

they should be careful what they are asking for. in order to truly erase all reminders of the slavery in America we would have to ship ALL OF THEM back to the lands of their Ancestors.

whats next...removing faces from Mount Rushmore?

Which party was fighting for slavery in America in the 1860's? Was that not part of which started a civil war? Just one part.
