You don't see that much on the other side.
Probably because the other side is too stupid to remember!

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

they cant pay reparations. its a reminder of slavery. aren't they arguing to remove all reminders of slavery ?

if so...use that money to fly them all home. not being a racist or bigot, but you cant say you want to remove all reminders of slavery and still stay here.

what are they going to do for the American Indian? they are claiming to be native American aren't they ?

why not give the land back to those we stole it from by committing Genocide and mass imprisonment on reservations? SET THEM FREE....SET THEM FREE...

Troutbert,

I believe you and I are on opposite sides politically, but your post above is the only thoughtful post in this entire thread so far.

Will always be that way. As long as wind blows and grass grows.

Listen, or your tongue will make you deaf.

"When a pine needle falls in the forest, the eagle sees it, the deer hears it, and the bear smells it."
an old First Nations saying

The "other side" can't even see facts.

The quote may or may not be Franklins.......but it's a darn good saying.

Why is it that you try to group an entire population of people, whose political views don't happen to match yours as people who are fond of fake quotes?

My favorite fake quote happens to be, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor"...certainly not made by a conservative........

I prefer my kid hunt and fish rather than steal and deal,

Another quote they conveniently forget is, "We have to build a wall on the Mexican border to stop the flow of illegal immigration!"

Bigfoot saw me but nobody believes him!

This is the point I'd make as well. The total deaths were around 620,000 when you count casualties on both sides. That is a tremendous amount of death and suffering, a lot of it by people that never owned a slave. How do you square all that plus reparations that were paid after the war with these ridiculous ideas put forth today? Nobody in the country has been a slave for 150 years. What are we going to do, take money from people who never had anything to do with slavery and give it to people whose distant relatives may never have been slaves, all based upon the color of our skin? And for what? So some liberal socialist politician can buy themselves the black vote?
