30 to 60

Sandusky was sentenced to 30 to 60 years. He's 68 so its a life sentence for him.

Re: 30 to 60

What I read said he would not be eligible for parole until after the 30 are served.

Re: 30 to 60

He was facing a max of 442 years. Some of the charges would merge with others for sentencing purposes. I believe the judge did send a message. He said, "Sandusky, you're going to die in prison", which is right where he needs to be. I had a similar case I prosecuted several years ago. (I went 48 for 48 on mine) Guy got the same sentence. The only difference being he was about 15 years younger than Sandusky when he was sentenced. He'll still die in prison.

Re: 30 to 60

Judge- 2 ten yr sentences + 2 five yr sentences= 30 yrs min(mandatory).IMO by merging these counts the judge is saying some of these crimes were free with no penalty.
Either way he'll rot in jail as he should.

Correct. In Pa, if you are given a minimum mandatory, you have to serve at least that minimum until your first parole hearing. And even then, you're not guaranteed you'll be paroled. Sandusky will be 98 years old at the time of his first parole hearing. There is no time off for good behavior in Pa other than clemency from the governor.

That may be an option. The governer was one of the reasons why he wasn't convicted years ago in the first place.

Re: 30 to 60

What the over/under on the time it takes inmates to administer real justice to Sandusky?

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.
