Yep. But, you never know where the next 1,000 yard rusher is going to come from. Heck, Evan Royster, the leading rusher in Penn State history, wasn't recruited for football. He was a Lacrosse player. 4 star recruit and freshman Akeel Lynch will see a lot of playing time this year. Plus, Penn State still has a heck of a freshman class that re-committed last week to attending next fall. Including the top qb prospect in the country in Hackenberg.

Holy Cheese and Crackers!

I always liked Curtis Dukes too, plus BOB moved Belton to RB. No issue at RB depth, but sure I would've liked Redd here, but I wish him well. Can't understand wanting to play for Kiffin over BOB though

You can't spell "S-U-C-K" without "USC", that's why.

Re: Silas Redd gone

Penn State has a knack for turning out good running backs out of nowhere. Larry Johnson was only a 1 year starter. Like Washpa said, Evan Royster wasn't even recruited to play football. Anyone remember Rodney Kinlaw? He didn't start until like week 4 or 5 of the 2007 season and still managed to gain 1300 yards. As a former offensive lineman, I'm a little partial to say that a good offensive line is the most important part of a good back. Someone else will step up. I'm think Bill Belton will be the starter.

You can shear a sheep many times, but you can only skin it once.

One of their reserve LB's, Fortt, I believe, left as well. I think he went to Cal.
