Re: Pick Playoff winners

By these poll results the most interesting game should be the Saints and San Fran.

Hunting: 10% skill and 90% location.

I think giants will upset packers, and watch out for San Fran (defense)

Re: Pick Playoff winners

Sigh....just as I thought.

The Broncos go up against the number 1 pass defense and the number 1 overall defense in the league in the Steelers las week and proceed to have Tebow shred them for 316 yards and 3 total TDs. The Steelers couldn't get near Tebow with their "vaunted" combo of Woodley and Harrison. The number 1 secondary couldn't cover anyone and let Thomas run past them for over 200 yards. The offensive line couldn't keep anyone off of Ben and he was getting roughed up all night.

This week, they roll into Foxboro against the last ranked pass defense in the league and the next to last overall defense. So far Tebow hasn't topped 30 yards passing and has been chased around all night and has been strip sacked by Ninkovich. That's right, Ninkovich, not Woodley or Harrison, Ninkovich. He has been sacked 3 times already and isn't even able to get his running game going. Meanwhile Tom Brady is torching them tonight and setting records all over the field and the Broncos D that shut down Pittsburgh last night can't stop a fly.

Never fails. Goodell will get what he wants and we will have a Patriots-Packers SB and ratings will be at all time high. Rodgers and Brady will be lighting it up all over the field and throwing for 500+ yards a piece and half a dozen TDs while the defenses will just run around out there like they are in the Pro Bowl. This is today's NFL, a finesse game where nobody is allowed to be hit and QBs and WRs can just pitch and catch out there so that the "fans" can see offensive shows week in and week out.

Re: Pick Playoff winners

I was just talking about this very subject to one of my friends. I think you are absolutely right. Football is no where near what it used to be, back when you actually were allowed to play defense. You would've never made it to a championship game with a defense that was ranked 30th or 32nd.
Green Bay vs. Patriots score 55 to 52 who cares who wins.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
