I was thinking about making a post about "Just let Newman play" and then the 2nd inning happened yesterday. WOW! 3 errors in an inning and 2 on the same play. You know what though, I still say just let him play. We will never know if the kid can play if he isn't put out there daily. I say he should start about 15-20 consecutive games and then judge.

Nice win and took series from Nats, Man if this pen could have preformed better so far this yr they would be right there. Bell stays hot and Kang has looked really bad at plate, guy chases with 2 strikes and can"nt catch up to the fastball. Moran hits and but his D is suspect. I hope these early season failures by the pen doesn"nt hurt them too bad due to they need every win they can get.

Raise It Another series win,be nice to come off the road with above 500 record. Looks like Polonco and Diaz about ready to come back. Both are hitting over 400 in AAA. If this pitching holds up i think it could get interesting!!

Another great pitching performance Bucs win. Just watched Cole Tucker hit his first bomb, Hope the kid does well we need a good young SS and i been saying I think this kid may be the answer,he has it all size and pop and is good defensively. I am not sold on Gonzaloz, twice now he has run into the other guy on a fly ball in gms i watched,---- Tucker can hit 220!

Pirates have allowed 73 runs (2nd fewest in MLB), the have also scored 73 runs (3rd lowest in MLB)

That is not good. Pinch hitting Kang for Tucker was a mistake. Tucker may have failed too but at least give the kid a chance.

As i stated in a earlier post they could not afford injuries and they are swamped with them! heck everybody they where counting on is out and you knew the pitching could nt keep going like it was that was unheard of. Tucker needs to hit or they will send him down which i think is a mistake.Polonco im so tired of looking at that guy in the OF,he s never going to get any better. and Bell will never be a first baseman they ruined that kid also by moving him.

The imbalance on this team was so predictable. This pitching staff, al though not so hot this week, is still very good. This offense lacks anyone with big moment capability.

I will say the pitching and the bats played last night but it was ugly for awhile.

For a team that is so frugal how could they so severely misjudge the Polanco return and throw away money on Chisenhall. Chisenhall has another injury on top of the one he was rehabbing.
