He better, and for his sake, be worth more than what his contract stipulates.

Lots of $ and a long term deal... Sounds like Ryan Howard stupid money and a lot of Buyers remorse later. If he gets injured or starts tanking, they will turn on him in a second.

Trout will not sign there now, they made a really long expensive deal. 13 years.... Buyers remorse will set in earlier than that.

How much is a series worth? Philly Phans will turn on him if he don't hustle or if he becomes a cancer to the team. Other than that Philly Phans are loyal even to slumping players. We will have to see if he can handle the we love you Boo when he has a slow start.

At least now Cutch has a chance to play in the playoffs for real. Waugh!

AR is only a pacifier. You will never grow if it's not in your genes.

Lol...id be willing to bet Ive played more innings of baseball then you've seen.

Yeah I dont think there is anyone worth that kind of money. NO WAY ever should anyone get more then 6 year contract. What he hit last year? 220?? 200 strike outs?
Do you remember Ryan Howard??? Lots of money for not much production, although Ryan did manage to be near the top of the rbi while batting 200

Bet the Phils start lobbying for the DH rule in the NL. How many 39 year old outfielders do they have in that league? $330 million, and Aaron Judge, a much better all-round hitter/outfielder is still making just $622,000.

Thank God I'm an American, and not a democrat!

I wonder if the posters claiming this is a bad deal will eat their words if they are wrong? My guess is, they wonít. My guess is also, they will crawl into a hole like the posters who said the Eagles were dead when Wentz went down and Foles took them to and won the SuperBowl. I waited for them to post some sort of mea culpa but.........crickets.
