Vick - $100 Million Dollar Man

Seems like a pretty big contract for a guy that will probably be hurt 25%-50% of the time? He's already taken a pounding this preseason.

Your thoughts?

If you continue to do what you're doing, you'll only get what you have gotten.

If he stays healthy worth the money but afraid he will be injured every year.

Once in a while he shows flashes of real brilliance, but a lot of time he's hurt or not effective. Good for him for getting that kind of scratch.

Hunting: 10% skill and 90% location.

Re: Vick - $100 Million Dollar Man

What a stupid, stupid deal. $100 mil for a guy who has had 2 good seasons, is injury prone, old, with a history of off field issues, and has never won even a conference title, let alone a Super Bowl. This is why Philly will never win a Super Bowl.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

Re: Vick - $100 Million Dollar Man

I've tried before, but didn't like the vacations I got. I am now a reformed SF, learning from the error of my ways, and trying to atone for my misdeeds of the past by making HPA a better, happier place for all. And I'm currently in school oooogling the 23 year old blonde librarian.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

Re: Vick - $100 Million Dollar Man

I'm not so sure about this one. For every year that goes by, Vick will become less and less mobile as he ages and keeps getting pounded. (He's only 6' tall and what, 205 lbs?)

He took big strides as a passer last season and he will have to be able to build on that in order to be effective in the future. I always thought that Vick delivered one of the best looking spirals in the game and he makes it look so effortless to whip one 60 yards down the field.

We'll see how this season goes but I'm afraid that the Eagles may have over paid here.
