Plaxico Burress visits the Steelers???

Heard this on the Fan 93.7 on the way home from work today. My gosh I hope they don't sign that cancer. We may as well change our slogan to "Just win baby."

Re: Plaxico Burress visits the Steelers???

latest I was hearing was he was actually talking with the Giants again, but, this will be the craziest off season ever, so who knows what's happening until the dust settles.

Literally before my surgery yesterday I was reading that Matt Hasselbeck was going to stay in Seattle, I come out and ESPN is reporting he will not sign with them again.

3B NRA NWTF: I do have to fine you. That will be a thousand dollars Canadian, or 10 American dollars if you prefer.

Good heavens.... I sure hope this isn't true. I saw the story on ESPN yesterday about the Giants and I thought to myself, "...as long as he isn't in Pittsburgh, I don't care where he is...."

Re: Plaxico Burress visits the Steelers???

That would be a monumental mistake. A)He's a lazy, selfish, stupid cancer. Second, he's getting old. And third, they are nearly as deep at wide receiver as they are at linebacker. I think Hines would be well served to move into the slot position, but in that case, I would move Sanders to flanker. Plax is a split end, and Wallace has that position, and IMO, he's about ready to become a true superstar, even if he's a choker in the big game. Money blown on Plax would shoot much needed O line improvements, along with resigning Troy and Woodley, right in the thigh.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

I'm hoping it's just a courtey visit. Help him make other teams think there is interest.

“did you get all that on camera sport?”

I would like the Steelers to get him. He has made some stupid mistakes but he was always a good locker room guy.
He has alot to prove and has a few good years left in him.
He will have value wherever he ends up. I just do not think the Steelers will have the cap room to sign him.

I really don't understand there being any interest if WR is our deepest position.

Re: Plaxico Burress visits the Steelers???

Since his inactivity and lawyer fees he must be low on funds and is using the Steelers for a plane ticket north then he can hitch from there accross I-80 to Nort Jersey and hook up with the Giants.

With Big Ben and Burress hanging out together NO ONE would be safe in the bars

I don't feel we are deep there at all. Ward is on a major decline and lost a step last year big time. Randel El is washed up. Sanders and Brown had good years but are not going to be making the pro bowl any time soon. Not at least until they get a few more years experience. Plus they are not real big targets. Wallace is the only reciever I see who stands out. Burress could really help.
