According it ESPN, Haley wont be offered a contract and the QB coach will be promoted.

Tomlin is a result of the Rooney Rule. Has been a definite downslide in team discipline and personal responsibility since his arrival. Haley seems to freeze up and make irrational calls to often. Past time for a change.

Tomlin is a flawed HC for sure but I believe he is better than many of the other active HCs. I am actually a Haley supporter so I don't like this move but the writing was on the wall. At least if they promote Fichner, Ben can't say "well I just do what the coach tells me to do" he'd be throwing is own guy under the bus.

Butler was promised an opportunity, that is why he held on so long. He has now had his opportunity and while I don't think he failed I wouldn't call it a success either. Joey Porter and Carnell lake should probably go as well. Porter couldn't mold Jones and Dupree plus off field stuff it is time to go. I think Artie Burns took a step back and if not for Hayden and Davis this secondary would have been a lot worse.
