NHL- Draft

I'd like to hear who you guys like in the draft for the Pens & Flyers.

I'd be happy with one of -

Matthew Puempel
Alexander Khokhlachev
Tomas Jurco
Tyler Biggs
Brandon Saad - Local kid played for the Hornets

Re: NHL- Draft

Puempel looks good, but I doubt he's available to the Pens. I'd also like to see about 20 pounds added to his frame to play the style the Pens like to play.

Were not going to apologize for caring. Were not.

Re: NHL- Draft

I agree Puempel will probably be gone but because of his hip injury he could fall to the Pens at 23 and as far as the weight, he is 6ft 190lbs at 18 years old so i think he'll be fine.

If he's not around I guess you take best available player or trade your late 1st round pick for an early 2nd and take Tomas Jurco-(really like this kid).

Re: NHL- Draft

Um do the flyers even have any picks. Homer has done a terrible job trading picks. First and a third for Versteeg makes me vomit.

They should trade Richards for a first rounder.

Re: NHL- Draft

You mean the team giving up the draft choice would be getting rooked?

The Blue Jackets aren't waiting for the NHL entry draft this month to start work on what they hope will be a summer of blockbuster deals.
Multiple NHL sources have told The Dispatch that the Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers have discussed a trade that would send Flyers center Jeff Carter, an All-Star in 2009, to Columbus for a top-six forward and the No. 8 overall pick in this year's draft. That top-six forward, presumably, is 21-year-old Blue Jackets winger Jake Voracek, a restricted free agent.
Though it could occur sooner, it's likely such a trade wouldn't be completed until the first round of the entry draft is held on June 24 in St. Paul, Minn.
