Hynoski Not Drafted

I see Hynoski still had a year left but opted to enter the draft and didn't get drafted

Because the coach was going to a 5 wr Big 12 offense and he wouldn't have seen the field anyway.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

Re: Hynoski Not Drafted

Should be an opening in Pittsburgh for a running back shortly.

Re: Hynoski Not Drafted

Once the rookie free agency signing period is "open", he'll be signed.

“did you get all that on camera sport?”

Re: Hynoski Not Drafted

The PR would be great for them if they sign Hynoski, a good, solid, hardworking guy from PA that went to Pitt, then cut Mendenhall, resign him, then trade him to Al Davis' circus.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

Re: Hynoski Not Drafted

I was with you on this. I was really hoping they would select him in the last round.

Re: Hynoski Not Drafted

Tomlin knows the value of a FB too-AP did well with one, and Mike Alstott was a beast when Omar Epps' twin was a coach in TB.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

The 5.06 40 time at the combine may have been that something. To put it in perspective, Casey Hampton runs a 5.25. It isn't that the 40 time is important for a FB. I would look more at his 10 yard time. But, the problem for him now is that as a rookie UFA Fullback, he has to be able to play special teams, and the 40 time does come into play then. Punt coverage is actually the reason Paul Brown came up with the 40 yard dash test to begin with. Maybe he could help on returns, though. If you are going to make it as a pure FB who just plays FB, you had better be dynamite, run with the power of Bettis, and you had better blow guys up and put them on their wallet as a blocker like Kreider did for us.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.
