Re: PENS v flyers

Flyers are playing smart--they know they don't HAVE to beat the Pens, especially in regulation. The Pens, however, need to gain 2 on the Flyers.

Its too bad the NHL doesn't do anything to protect its best players from dirty hits to the head from behind. Sid would have made a 6 point difference.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

Re: PENS v flyers

briere has a bad habit of never coming to the puck. he stands there waiting for a pass and the other team just intercepts pucks.

Cause it makes perfect sense for them to do that, considering that it's 1-1 with 5 mins to go in a game that means way more to win in regulation that lose in OT.

Re: PENS v flyers

Yeah, it doesn't matter now. Even if the game goes to OT and the Pens win, they will essentially gain nothing on the Flyers. I think that the time has run out to catch them at this point. Pens vs Habs in the 1st round. Pens better get their gold clubs dusted off.....

Re: PENS v flyers

Another case of the Pens making a so-so goaltender look like Patrick Roy out there with all their missed opportunities.

Re: PENS v flyers

No i haven't genius perhaps you could enlighten the world with your brilliance. i don't watch the penguins so i wouldn't know what system they have been using. With Malkin and Crosby out it's plausible that's how they have been playing.
The Pens need points not sitting back clogging up the neutral zone playing for a tie. That does nothing when your 6 points back.
