new football rules

i think i am done with the nfl, goddell won't be happy till he ruins the game. if they don't start this season on time i am definately done. imagine , you can't hit the quarterback in the act of throwing ( just stand back there and pump-fake till a reciever is open) a reciever in the act of catching a pass.. ( really, just let him grab it and run in the endzone) ... oh, sissified america .. get used to it... might as well bowl or play golf... http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...MPLATE=DEFAULT

Re: new football rules

He's got to go. What a crock. When exactly can you hit him? I guess Troy's strip sack of Flacco was so horribly debilitating that they had to make sure it never happens again?

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

On the upside, nobody pump fakes better than #7 of the Steelers.

Even if it starts on time, it's no longer going to be football. He won't be happy until he makes it so Marsha can't be hit so his buddy Kraft can finally claim to win a trophy playing by the rules. The 70's Steelers would tear through every team in this league today, and leave them whining about mean people. Today's players at the skill positions no longer need any more toughness than my 8 year old Brownie daughter.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

Re: new football rules

"A quarterback at any time after change of possession"

So he should get off the field. If you can't block him, he shouldn't be permitted to have any effect on the play. Why aren't linebackers considered defenseless when a cowardly running back chops his knees in the backfield when he's blitzing. Oh that's right, Goodell doesn't thing blitzing, or pressuring QBs should be allowed.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

Re: new football rules

Wouldn't it be great if Harrison got the same deal. He's allowed to make the tackle, he's just not allowed to be blocked. He'd actually settle for them not allowing him and Woodley to be tackled every play.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

Re: new football rules

Even with the superbowl runs the last few years my interest has started to wane. This would put it over the top. Can't say what I want to about Rodger on here.

Re: new football rules

same here eye. I found myself becoming less interested as the season went along and these rules changes were being implemented.

These guys sign up for this game and they know what could happen to them. UNREAL
