Pens vs. Sharks

Tough one tonight at home for sure. Lots of star power on the Sharks and they are hotter then a coal stove on a zero degree night right now. Pens are plugging in Neal and Niskanen without having any practice time with the team due to some re-routed flights I heard. Not an awesome recipe for success all around but I will cross my fingers and watch. They really could use a regulation 'W' right about now. It's been a while.

Re: Pens vs. Sharks

If they play with the intensity that they did Monday, they should be okay. Sounds like Test-tube and Jeffrey may be back in the lineup.

Why do they call it common sense when it is so rare.

I heard Letestu and Jeffrey were practicing so I hope they play tonight.

Where have you been?

Will be a good game, passed on tickets to it actually.

Re: Pens vs. Sharks

Today's line at practice.

Neal-Staal-Dupuis
Cooke-Adams-Kennedy
Rupp-Talbot-Conner
Sterling-Vitale-Wallace

We're going to need a bigger boat.

I'll never understand Adams on the second line. Or Sterling on the fourth. Move talbot and Sterling to the second line.

Re: Pens vs. Sharks

I like Talbot, but if he is even in consideration for the second line...then they are in trouble. That being said...I agree that he should be there before Adams.

Re: Pens vs. Sharks

I think Adams is a grinder and a puck mover. With less scoring options it is important to get guys that are able to cycle and try to get garbage goals.

Ideally with Sid, Neal, Kunitz (who I think was/is having a great season), Staal, and Malkin this probably wouldn't be discussed.

Personally I am a big Letestu fan too and I think he has the ability to score 20+ a season. The injury was a big blow. Add in the talent of Sterling, Wallace, Tangradi, and Jeffery you have enough options that Talbot and Adams become expendable.

Talbot will never be expendable, he might not do much in the regular season but he has proven in the past that he can and does come up big in big games.
