Penns NY islanders Flyers

In light of that Penns VS NY the other night and every Penn fan moaning got me thinking.

The Flyers would have NEVER let that happen to them. Never. Flyers would have nip that crap in the budd straight away.

Re: Penns NY islanders Flyers

It wouldn't have mattered---the Isles were going to do their bush league garbage no matter what. And to think that poor Godard gets the worst suspension of the bunch. I guess he should have waited and Bertuzzi'd on of the Isles, since that's only a 4 game suspension. Campbell is a useless puke, almost as bad as Goodell.

We’re not going to apologize for caring. We’re not.

lol. Whatever dude. I honestly love when guys spout off with the 'fan' side of there head. 'Fan' side of the brain = non rational thinking side of brain. There were like 5 people left on the benches....I'd say it was nipped in the bud as best it could have been but please elaborate. Since you know so much about the Flyers and how they would have nipped this one in the bud...Please, do tell, what would the Flyers have done differently?? (No matter the answer this response is going to be AWESOME!)

Actually he was suspended for about 20 games. The NHL doesn't punish on intent. It punishes on outcome. Always has always will. Bertuzzi ended a career. I suppose ending a life would be worth 30 or so games. Until someone is killed that will never change and that is why they are and will always be the laughing stock of american sports. I dont care who it is. Matt Cooke, Sidney Crosby, Carcillo, or Richards. If anyone goes in with the intent to injury it should be a minimum 20 games. That's like 2 months and that will def send the message. 4 games is totally worth it if you ask me.

Re: Penns NY islanders Flyers

Lol, nip it in the bud?

Talbot gets sucker punched from behind and then jumped by Martin. Arguably the biggest tough guy on the team, Engelland jumps in a attempts to get that punk Martin off of Max. Rupp gets into a fight at that time as does Dupuis. It's good old fashioned line brawl and that should have been it. The sad part was that Engelland and Rupp both got thrown out at that point. For the rest of the game the Isles knew that two of the Pens' heavyweights were gone. So they proceed to launch flying elbows at rookies and then throw haymakers at him while he's injured on the ice and bark at him like a rabid dog from the runway. By the end of the game, the offenders were gone from the game so there was little that the Pens could do at that point. The Isles got their cheapshots in and never had to answer to the Pens' tough guys for it.

Congrats Isles for "manning up" out there. Challenging guys half your size that don't fight, sucker punching players from behind and elbowing people and then wailing on them while they are down! Real classy, you really showed the Pens! What a joke your team is.
