Jay Cutler Bashing......

I have been listening to ESPN Radio and for at LEAST the past two hours, all they have talked about is Jay Cutler and whether or not he is a wuss. Unreal.

What do you think? Are they making a big deal about the actual "injury" or is this a chance for everyone to vent about his over-all attitude?

Re: Jay Cutler Bashing......

I would think that any decent QB qould want to try and lead his team to the SB injured or not. So I think he probably over exagerated the injury cause hes a cry baby and things weren't going his way.

The problem is that I don't know what I don't know.

Stogey - I agree. Everyone is waiting to hear what the MRI says. Does anyone honestly think they won't make the MRI sound worse than it actually is, after all this?

IF he did "quit" because of being a crybaby (and I agree he is), I think Urlacher will eat him for a snack this afternoon.

Re: Jay Cutler Bashing......

I never really liked Cutler and his attitude however I have no idea how serious the injury was. It's one thing to play injured if you can still play at a high level, it's quite another if you can't be effective and actually hinder your team by playing.

The funniest thing is the fans going nuts and burning his jersey. Maybe those fans should show some anger for the Bears' horrible O line play this season. Cutler regularly got pummeled game after game this season because that O line was terrible. I believe the Giants sacked him 10 times in one game? I think Lovie Smith actually took him out of that game because of the beating he was taking.

Re: Jay Cutler Bashing......

Trask - I actually thought about this.... Do you think the coaching staff basically "benched" him but used the injury as an excuse? In other words, they didn't want to say they actually benched him - it was the injury.

Cutler showed no signs of wanting to go back in the game and he wasn't even limping. Something just doesn't seem right. Attitude or no attitude, you are playing for a chance to play in the Super Bowl.

Re: Jay Cutler Bashing......

Exactly, if he takes a beating and they lose than he has the offseason to heal up. If he plays through his "injury" and they win than hes a hero, but I don't see how the HC could have thought to himself that if we take our starting QB out of the game we still have a chance of winning. My opinion is that hes a big cry baby but than again I'm not a big Cutler fan.

The problem is that I don't know what I don't know.

Re: Jay Cutler Bashing......

It's possible as he wasn't getting it done on the field however what did they expect with the Packers' D in his face all day?

It is possible that the injury wasn't as serious as claimed and that the coaching staff was worried about making it worse with the pounding that he was taking out there.

We may never know the truth about how serious the injury was.

Re: Jay Cutler Bashing......

Chicago paper just reported a torn MCL for Cutler. That is a serious enough injury that he shouldn't have been back in the game.
