Re: 26" or 28" Barrels?
I have both, and most times it changes the weight of the gun a little and changes the swing inside the Grouse woods. I prefer the 28" double gun for Pheasant hunting
where I am not climbing mountains all day long. On the big flats in Montana I even use my Elsie Pigeon Grade with it 30" BBls for Pheasant hunting. However I have a 16 Guage Elsie double gun, with 2 sets of 26" BBls, one choked for Grouse, Woodcock and Quail and the other for Pheasant, Ducks and Geese, so you see it all depends on where I am hunting, and what I am hunting, as to which weapon I choose to use. If I only had one double gun, I would want the 28"
BBls with two triggers, for the hunting of different game and birds.
