southeast pa

Are there any public places to throw some clay around montgomery county.we have thrower and clay but no where to go?Any ideas

Gamelands 205 in Lehigh County just off Route 100 has an area for shooting clay birds.

Not familiar with that area, but if you travel to the central part of the state there are plenty of places to shoot.

The gamelands (#43) in our area closed the trap range??? Are you sure the #205 in lehigh is still open.Someone told me the pgc closed all ranges to shotgun? Any help before we go there would be appreciated.

As far as I know it's still open for clays, probably the only one in the area. Call the SE Region
PGC office if you need to know for sure.

FYI i just found out....ALL sgl clay bird lanes are closed due to lead in the ground.

Pretty lame excuse from the PGC to shut down clays on their ranges. Lead won't deteriorate or leach if soil pH is kept at reasonable levels. It would take decades of lead shot in enormous quantities to effect the soil. If pH drops, just add lime which should be done anyway. To shut down shotgunning but encourage handgun and rifle shooting (hmm, no lead there) is absurd.
