Recommend a Sportsmen's club north of Pittsburgh?

I live in Northern Allegheny county. The highly regarded Millvale Sportsmen's Club is less than 10 minutes from me, but it is not accepting new memberships.

Any recommendations for another club in the area?

Thanks,
-Dave

Wow, I just checked and there is a long waiting list to get into Millvale SC. I have been a member for a very long time. I wish I could help you out, but I can`t even get my own brother in!! Since the population boom out that way it has been almost impossible to get in there. They have everything ya need in a club for the $$$$.

I hadn't thought about it that way, but I guess about an hour is as far as I'd be likely to go on a regular basis.

There is a Butler city hunting and fishing club (summit township), there is one in East Butler also. Another one to look at is Burnt Ridge, but that one is out towards Worthington.

Octagon - No problem. Hopefully, I'll bump into you some time when I'm up there for a training course or something.

Re: Recommend a Sportsmen's club north of Pittsburgh?

Thanks for the pointers.

North Side Sportsman's Assn is only about 10 minutes away from me. 30-06kid (or anyone), are you a member or do you know anything more about NSSA?

The Beaver Valley and Butler ones are both about ~40 minutes away, so definitely doable, as well. It looks like the one in Butler is near Sportsman's Supply, too, which is a definite benefit.

We (son and I) signed up for a Hunter Education course in Tarentum in March, but it looks like that club is not accepting new members. Anyway, despite being closer as the crow flies, I'm pretty sure it is actually a further drive away!
