We are closing on a 330 acre tract of timberland the second week of November and wanted to see if there would be any interest in a hunting lease since we won't be using it ourselves. The tract is heavily wooded and would be best described as rolling with a nice ravine on one side. Interior road runs the length of the property. There are also 2 gated entrances to the property.
Price for this year would be $2,000 and lease would run until July of next year. The following years would be $2,500 and would run from July to July the following year. We want to limit the amount of hunters to no more than 8.
No lease will be signed until after we close on the property but if anyone had an interest we would like to give them a heads up.
Hunters would need to get liability insurance from an accredited outdoor insurance company such as the following.
