My boys live 150 miles away and my granson is now over 16 and has more interests than he can handle!
He or his dad never came around to shoot the guns they use for deer season? We use to go shooting a few weeks before season[ acouple of times a week] and they both got what they aimed at! 2 years in a row both got a nice doe!!! This season they missed a few?
It cost them nothing to shoot,i do all the loading and sighting in. I had both guns sighted in for me but they don't understand that they shoot or hold different than i? These were dead on at 100 to 200 yards with 1 to 2 inche groups!
I no longer have the urge to go to the range! I don't like going alone, some times i do,but not often?
I am retired now and have lots of time to play but no one to share with! I've lived in this area for 14 years and have met no one whom has any interest in the sport of just target shooting unless you want to shoot trap! I did do a bit of BR shooting and liked it but i was alone.
If i did run into some one with maybe an interest, they had to always have a beer or two with them. No for me.
My wife tried going along and shoot but she had brest cancer and she had been cut on her right shoulder and chest and could not take the recoil of hardley a 22!
I wish i could find some one to share my love of reloading and shooting in my area.
I wish you were closer to Pittsburgh. I can`t get anybody to go with me to the range anymore and I belong to an awesome club in the north hills of Pittsburgh. My brother and I go about every few months together but he lives in Ohio thus the very few times we can go We also reload together about once or twice a year as well at his place. Good luck to ya.
On Christmas eve my daughter and her husband with their 3 children, stopped in.
Out of nowhere my 27 year old granddaughter says"Pap,will you teach me how to shoot?" She is a nurse and works 10 hour shifts at night! Well i can do this if she can!
I work shifts , but if any of you need a spotter , I have 2 nice scopes . As for sighting in ? Most of my hunting rifles are good to go , but my old 22 LR & my fathers pellet rifle could use some sighting in . As for reloading , I inherited my dads RCBS Rock Chucker , but we never had the time to get together to start learning how to reload .
