??? about the TC's

Looking to get one this year I was wondering if the different models mean anything. Can I just buy a Pro Hunter and then put any of the furniture and carrels on the frame including the pistol hardware. I am also wondering about the barrels. I guess the real question here is are all Pro Hunter frames the same or are they different and I need to know what I want and that will dictate which model to get. Thanks for your help.

If an inline is just like a flintlock why don't you get a flintlock so you can hunt more seasons?

Re: ??? about the TC's

All TC frames are the same for mounting barrels, stocks or handgun grips, the only item that needs to be changed is the forearm, when you use a muzzle loader, pistol or shotgun barrel they are not the same the mounting screws are different. Frames can be had in SS, blue, camo or weather shield. I have 4 frames, 1 Pro Hunter and 3 others, the only differents is that the Pro Hunter is engraved Pro Hunter the others are not. hopes this helps

Re: ??? about the TC's

Another consideration between the different frames is the "Swing Hammer" the Pro-Hunter has. I'm not certain on the newer regular Encore frame, but the older ones had a regular hammer. Also, make sure you don't do what a buddy did and buy an Encore FX inline. He thought he got a great deal on an Encore, only to discover the FX is a fixed barrel.

Don't let our differences defeat us.

Will the old frames fit the new barrels and furniture?

Re: ??? about the TC's

So just to make sure I understand everyone correctly as long as I don't buy the FX model I can fit all the barrels and furniture on the frame.

Does this include the G2 contender and Katahdin carbine series?

Re: ??? about the TC's

Not all TC barrels fit every model. Contender barrels will not fit an Encore/Pro Hunter. A Pro hunter is just a "better" version of the encore, so those barrels are interchangeable.

Re: ??? about the TC's

The encore is fine, it's all about preference. Just compare the features of the two and see which one you like the best.
