Nice classic thumper. Yep.

Ruger is pretty good at sticking some darned nice handles on their rifles from time to time. You got one of them !!

I always wanted a #1 in a classic caliber and almost bought the .375 H&H a couple of times. The standard rounds were never too appealing so when Ruger offered the 9.3x74r that was the clincher. A shootable classic rimmed thumper in a single shot falling block was/is perfect for me. I got lucky on the wood as I bought the rifle sight unseen from an Internet dealer. I have killed one deer with it as I don't take it out much; but I enjoy handling, admiring, and busting chert cobbles with it. It is a super nice rifle-now if only I could get some money together for a .303 Brit. It never ends!
