Encore 50x209 problem

I recently purchased a used 50x209 barrel for my encore, the problem I'm having is with the scope mount, I've tried weaver, Leupold and Burris, the front part of the mounts seem to low, I can only get my scope at max elevation to hit the bottom of the target at 50 yds, I also tried another scope same results. I put it on the bore sighter and it is really low to? Any one else have this problem, I guess I'll just have to shim the front end of my base...

I believe they make a special mount for that barrel.

Re: Encore 50x209 problem

Weaver base Part #48520 TC Encore/Omega base should work just fine. That's the base I use with zero issues.

Re: Encore 50x209 problem

Never had a problem with my Encore 50 X 209 barrel...I always hit zero with mounts and Nikon Omega scope that I use... I do clean it after every shot while at the range...
I do get my rings and mounts at www.eabco.com. There made special for the Encore barrels!!!!
