Encore pistol barrel transfer????

If I purchase an Encore pistol barrel from an individual, do I need to have it transferred? I'm thinking because my frame is registered, the barrels are irrelevant.

There is nothing to transfer. No serial number, it's just a gun part.

Re: Encore pistol barrel transfer????

With a T/C it is all about the frame. Word of caution is that even if buying a muzzleloader you should still register it has a handgun. If you don't and a few years down the road you decide to buy a grip and short barrel you will now have an illegal gun. You can buy all the barrels you want as they are basically worthless without the frame and as was stated no serial number and just another part.
