Single shot rifle rifle season

Who's taking a single shot out for gun season?

You can have it when you rip it from my cold, dead hands.........

Re: Single shot rifle rifle season

I haven't decided yet. But often take an H&R Shikari in 45-70

The sights are a little to broad to aim at a deer past 75 yards. My Trapdoor sights are finer, but harder to aim in the bright sunlight. So it depends a bit on the weather.

Yep..sighted in all my guns yesterday...But the first two days I will carry my H&R 444. Love the challenge of hunting with the single. I did all my small game hunting this year with my father's old Winchester single shot 20 gauge.

Re: Single shot rifle rifle season

I am thinking of taking my Ruger #1V .25-06 loaded with 90 gr. Speer and a good amount of imr 7828. This is the only combination that shoots really well.
