H&R Handi Rifle .44 Mag

I just put a new one on layaway. The new ones have an 18 3/4" barrel and use to have a 22" barrel and felt so good at the shoulder and the bonus is they have open sights!! Does anyone have this one or one with a 22" barrel and found what they like to shoot?

A plus is I am going to send the receiver in after the season and have a 20 gauge barrel fitted to it

Thanks you. It just felt so good to hold. I`m really starting to feel the carbine thing.

Sounds like a fun piece. I wish I never would have sold my Handi-rifle in .45-70.

Got one in 500 S&W...Same thing just massages the shoulder a little more vigorously.

Try some 200gr XTP loads in it, see how they work? Both my own handloads and Hornady's factory loads shoot very well in my 6" M629 Smitty and the "Puma" M92 clone.

Supposidly, if you don`t reload(I do) that these guns like the Winchester USA white box in 240 grain. If that`s true, the plus is they come 50 to a box in those.
