Ruger #1-B

I just noticed Ruger discontinued this model. What a shame, I loved the stock over the ones with the cuts on the end of the forearm. I wonder why they discontinued it? I was gonna buy a new one and have open sights put on it.

Re: Ruger #1-B

There are lots of 1B's on Gunbroker. Prices are getting higher. You should be able to find one you like. I don't know about that putting sights on a 1B. The Tropical version and 1A have sights. I removed the back sight on my 1A.

I noticed that also. I have one in stainless in 25-06 that I was thinkin of selling until I saw they discontinued them and most in stainless I saw going for around $1200+ so figure I need to just keep it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they produce some "B"s again. Over the years I believe it was the most common configuration.

The "S"and International also have sights.

Re: Ruger #1-B

I have noticed that Ruger will discontinue a caliber or
a configuration and bring it back later. They brought
the .358 Win back in the bolt action series but have
dropped it again.
