Another vote for the 7-30 Waters in a T/C flavor of your choice.

Second choice would be a good old .30-30.

I have put meat in the freezer with my 38 special. I only use 125 gr. flatnose cast bullet. Works great!

I have a contender in .35 Remington. 180 grain ssp bullets work well on deer.
