CVA Apex

I bought the Apex a few years back when they were being advertised as a competitor to the Encore.I love this gun!I guess it didn't take off as well as planned though. I was just wondering how many others on HPA have one,and in what calibers. Also, does anyone know where to buy extra barrels other than ordering on-line?

Re: CVA Apex

Looked into getting one a couple of years ago, but since discovered the H&R single shots. Pretty sure they are the reason the CVA never caught on.

If an inline is just like a flintlock why don't you get a flintlock so you can hunt more seasons?

Re: CVA Apex

No. The CVA's were/are a step above the H&R's in overall quality and accuracy. I have never met a handy rifle that didn't badly need a trigger job. Having owned 4 of them, I can tell you they def DO have some serious potential for accuracy, but almost always not without help. I don't mean 1 1/2"-2" groups either. That isn't accuracy imo and shouldn't be in anyone's book, especially in a varmint caliber gun. The CVA's never had to be "worked on" to shoot well.

Re: CVA Apex

I bought an Apex with the 30-06 barrel. I never shot it with that barrel but did purchase another barrel in .223

The 30-06 barrel is for sale here on the classifieds.
