T/C no longer selling plain ole Encore actions?

Notice that since vendors changed it hard to find barrels and even order plain ole black and blue actions for the Encore system.. You have to buy Prohunter with stainless. It does look like things are going down hill now that a new vendor took over. your major outdoor stores are no longer even ordering actions (Dicks Sporting Goods). They use too have them in their catalog.. Cabelas in Hamburg has no Encore barrels on the shelf to sell like the old days either..

S&W gutted T/C. I am glad I have what I have BUT am done with them from here on in............They have completely abandoned the thing that made T/C famous...........FLINTLOCKS!!!!
UGH
Dave

P.S.-----------Have you looked at LHR?? They are going back to the T/C roots and have released their first single shot centerfire with switchable barrels.

Since the take over I get my barrels from EABCO or Bergara, EABCO makes very accurate barrels, and the fit and finish is second to none....

I agree....I have three EABCO barrels. and they are accurate. Like my 17 Fireball a real lot... price is about what a T/C factory barrel cost...$320.00. Buy it the right time of the year and you can get it for $300.00. Christmas Season of course! EABCO will ship actions to a FFL gun shop for you... Problem is I ordered a action one time through a well known gun shop. They put the action inside the rifle case to sell. Lucky I just happened to call and ask about right when they did it..Would be nice if you called EABCO and they would tell you what gun shops they send things to in your area.. You'd have the good feeling then...

I have notice one thing for sure in 2014. Business atmosphere... You better follow up on your follow up on your follow up. Seems like the American workers, some of them no longer take pride in their work. Figure you order a gun part and you the customer have to call and keep calling to get them to get the thing into your hands! i'm not talking outdoor stuff only either... Insurance, appliances, just needing legal documents is like pulling teeth and your paying these people to do that. Kind of like the S & W thing what happened to the Encore products!!! OK venting done!!

S&W is the worst thing to ever happen to T/C. I have checked out of both except for used stuff before the takeover.
